Get and activate your UAN (EPF account number)
The Universal Account Number (UAN) is your lifelong EPF account number across jobs. EPFO now uses Aadhaar face authentication on the UMANG app to generate and activate UANs.
Steps
- 1
Your employer creates your UAN when you join, or you can generate it yourself on the UMANG app using Aadhaar face authentication
- 2
Activate the UAN on the UMANG app (face authentication) or the EPFO member portal, as available
- 3
Log in to the member portal to check your passbook, update KYC (Aadhaar, PAN, bank) and add nominees
