Services / Welfare & ration

Apply for a ration card or use it anywhere in India

Ration cards are issued by state food and civil supplies departments. NFSA cards (Antyodaya Anna Yojana and Priority Household) give free foodgrains, and One Nation One Ration Card lets you draw rations at any fair price shop in India.

This service is run by state governments, so the portal and process depend on where you live. Find your state or ask below with your state name.

Steps

  1. 1

Apply on your state's food and civil supplies portal or at the local supply office/CSC

  2. 2

Add family members with Aadhaar; existing cards can add or remove members the same way

  3. 3

After verification, the card is issued; check entitlement online

  4. 4

Migrant workers can collect rations anywhere with Aadhaar biometric authentication (the Mera Ration app shows nearby shops and entitlement)

Documents

  • Aadhaar of all members
  • Address proof
  • Income certificate (state rules)
  • Photographs
