Get a Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) for going abroad

Indian passport holders need a PCC for emigration, long-term visas, residency or jobs abroad. In India you apply through the Passport Seva portal; abroad, through the Indian embassy or consulate.

Steps

  1. 1

Log in to the Passport Seva portal and choose 'Apply for Police Clearance Certificate'

  2. 2

Fill in the form, pay the fee and book a PSK/POPSK appointment

  3. 3

Visit the PSK with your passport and address proof

  4. 4

The PCC is issued after police verification (immediately, if the verification report is already clear)
