Withdraw or transfer your EPF (provident fund)
EPF members can make partial withdrawals (advances) for specified purposes, settle the account on retirement or long unemployment, and transfer the balance when changing jobs. All of this can be done online on the EPFO member portal or UMANG if your UAN is linked with Aadhaar and bank details.
Steps

Make sure your UAN is activated and Aadhaar, PAN and bank account are seeded and verified (KYC)

Withdrawal: on the member portal go to Online Services > Claim, verify bank details, choose the claim type and purpose, and submit with Aadhaar OTP

Transfer: when changing jobs, most transfers now happen automatically; otherwise request transfer online (One Member – One EPF Account) and get it attested by the employer if required

Track the claim status on the portal or UMANG; settlement is credited to your bank account
