Apply for an Indian e-Visa (for foreign nationals)
Nationals of eligible countries can apply online for an e-Visa (tourist, business, medical, medical attendant, conference and other categories) and enter through designated airports and seaports.
Steps

Use only the official Indian Visa Online portal (beware of look-alike sites that charge extra)

Fill the e-Visa application, upload a photo and passport bio page, and pay the fee online

Apply at least 4 days before arrival
- 4
Receive the Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) by email and carry a copy when travelling
Documents
- Passport valid for at least 6 months with two blank pages
- Recent photograph
- Category-specific documents (e.g. hospital letter for medical e-Visa)
