Deposit-free LPG connections for adult women from poor households, so families can switch from firewood and other polluting fuels to clean cooking gas.
What you get
A deposit-free LPG connection (cylinder security deposit, regulator, hose and installation covered), with the first refill and stove under PMUY 2.0. A targeted subsidy on refills is notified by the government each year; check the official page for the current amount.
Who can apply
- Adult woman (18+) from a poor household with no existing LPG connection in the household
- Categories include SC/ST households, PMAY-G beneficiaries, AAY households, forest dwellers and other deprived households, or those making a 14-point deprivation declaration
- Migrant families can apply with a self-declaration of address
How to apply
- Apply online on pmuy.gov.in (choose Indane, Bharatgas or HP Gas) or at the nearest LPG distributor
- Complete Aadhaar-based e-KYC and submit documents
- The distributor releases the connection after verification

- Aadhaar of applicant and adult family members
- Ration card or family composition declaration
- Bank account details
